Product & E-commerce Casting

High-volume catalogue casting

Brief our team Apply as talent

Catalogue work is a production line, and casting either keeps it moving or stops it. The requirements are unglamorous and absolute: the sample size has to fit, the talent has to sustain a rate of shots per hour, and the same body has to be available again when the next drop lands.

How this discipline is cast

Product & E-commerce Casting, in practice

01 — Approach

Fit is the whole brief

E-commerce lives on a sample size and the garment has to sit correctly with no styling intervention, because a clipped or pinned garment misrepresents the product and comes back as a return. Measurements are re-checked at fitting, not taken from a card.

Rate, sustained

A catalogue day is judged in looks per hour. That needs someone who changes quickly, hits a consistent set of poses and holds energy through the afternoon — a distinct skill from editorial, and one we cast for specifically.

The same body next season

Catalogue consistency depends on re-booking. Where a brand shoots to a cycle we keep a working roster so the next drop is shot on the same fit, and flag early where a regular is no longer available so a replacement is found before the shoot week, not during it.

Questions

Product & E-commerce Casting — common questions

Can you supply the same models each season?

Where they are still available, yes — that is usually the point of a roster. We track re-booking and tell you early if a regular has become unavailable, so continuity is managed rather than discovered.

How is a high-volume day rated?

By the day, with the expected look count agreed in advance, because that count is what the day actually asks of the talent. A schedule that runs materially past what was briefed is quoted as overtime and agreed on the day rather than argued about afterwards.

Do you cast hand and detail models?

Yes. Hands, feet and detail work are their own casting problem with their own criteria, and are shortlisted against detail references rather than full profiles.
